Christmas At Studio 21. 15th - 17th December

This is our final show of the year. Can't believe that in a couple of weeks time it will be 2018. Joining us for this final show is Colin Norgate,  who is a furniture designer and maker of fabulous objects in wood and not only that but  is a holder for a Guild Mark from The Worshipful Company of Furnituremakers.  I particularly like the fish boards. See below ! If you would like to try some Wood turning, Colin runs some courses through out the year, an ideal gift for the man or woman in your life, who likes wood. Sculpture At Greys Court. June 3rd to 25th by Studio21

There are two weekends left to visit the beautiful gardens at Greys Court near Henley, to wander through the grounds and view an interesting and varied collection of figurative and non figurative sculpture placed in and around the gardens. 26 different artists, all from the Oxford Sculptors Group, one of them local to Caversham, John Nicholls. http://www.nichollssculptor.co.uk.

Last day of Open Studios at Studio 21, venue 54 in the West Berkshire and North Hampshire Open Studios 2017 catalogue. Thank you to those people who visited yesterday and made it such a worthwhile effort. If you missed the Here Here ! show in the Turbine Hall at the Riverside museum, which was beautifully curated by Ingrid Jenson, today is the last opportunity for a while, to see  Michael Norcross's paintings here at Studio 21. An exhibition is taking place at what's becoming an important Reading Exhibition venue, for local artists in the Turbine House, at the Riverside Museum next to the Bell and Dragon.

10 local artists are all taking part in the Open Studios scheme running across west Berkshire and North hampshire. Reading Artists at the River Kennet, Turbine House. #Studio 21

Don't miss this double opportunity to see exciting new work by ten artists from Reading and West Berkshire, plus a wonderful historic venue in Reading. The Turbine House is inspiring to artists and visitors because of its situation on the River Kennet, with water rushing past and beneath, and and excellent light and views through its many windows. Reading Contemporary Art Show, 2017

Thank you to all who attended the recent #Reading Contemporary Art Show and came to visit me on my stand. It was a  great success and a surprisingly pleasant experience for me. I was assured, by visitors attending, that they thoroughly enjoyed it too. So this is an experience I will seriously consider repeating next year!
For those who didn't make it to this event to receive a personal invitation to my Open Studios event on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th May 11 a.m. -5 p.m. at :  #Studio 21  #Caversham where the work on display will be more extensive than the space of a small stand permits, and work not exhibited at RCAF will be on display along with some new work not previously shown.
Some new paintings will also be on display from 4-13th at the joint exhibition at the Turbine Hall, Blake's Lock Museum, otherwise known as the Riverside Museum, curated by Ingrid Jensen from Open Hand Studios. On the Saturday evening I hope this work will move from there to my Open Studio event unless previously sold. Some of the paintings relate directly to the theme of the #festivalofthedark#outrideranthems  project which is being promoted locally.

Artists and Designers at Studio 21 sell their work at 21 Patrick Road, Caversham, Reading, RG4 8DD, on Friday 11^th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13^th December, 10.30 a.m.-5.30 p.m. Admission is free and a very short distance from Caversham centre. Come and browse special bespoke objects at your leisure, with an opportunity to purchase directly from the artists.
