Reading Guild Of Artists, pop up exhibition

Reading Guild of Artists are currently exhibiting work by the members at Reading Museum as part of a pop up exhibition. Lots to see and opportunity to buy original art work at very reasonable prices. Forget about those international artists, support your local home grown artists instead. Ideal unique Valetine's or birthday present

Christmas at Studio 21

The last show of the year, 2017. We open on Friday 15th December, Saturday 16th and  Sunday 17th from 10.30am - 5.30pm.

We are located adjacent to Christchurch Meadows, 10 minutes’ walk across the park from Reading Station, 5 minutes’ walk from Caversham centre, on-street parking.
Find something special: ‘Artists at Studio 21’ welcome visitors to our 12^th Christmas Show, which includes paintings, wood-block prints and cards of local scenes, and beautifully made leather and textiles work, jewellery and more. This year we are joined by two craftsmen: Colin Norgate; Colin has designed and made furniture to commission for over 15 years. Simon Conolly (sculpture in clay): a well-known sculptor who has exhibited widely in the U.K. at many venues including the R.A. the R.B.A and the R.S.M.A. Studio 21 is where we produce our work and an ideal place to find unusual and special Christmas presents. Christmas At Studio 21. 15th - 17th December

This is our final show of the year. Can't believe that in a couple of weeks time it will be 2018. Joining us for this final show is Colin Norgate,  who is a furniture designer and maker of fabulous objects in wood and not only that but  is a holder for a Guild Mark from The Worshipful Company of Furnituremakers.  I particularly like the fish boards. See below ! If you would like to try some Wood turning, Colin runs some courses through out the year, an ideal gift for the man or woman in your life, who likes wood. Christmas At Studio 21

Beautiful sunny morning and another day at Studio 21. We are now open and look forward to you visiting us. This year Simon Conolly (http://www.sculptureinclay.co.uk/about-the-artist/) is exhibiting with us, he is a member of the Oxford Sculpture group:http://www.oxfordsculptors.org/simon-conolly.html.
 Avoid the 'Black Friday' crowds and enjoy the relative tranquility of Studio 21. There's plenty to see a wide range of unique presents for Christmas. Jewellery, bags, Scuplture, cards, prints, leather goods and paintings. Come down, peruse coffee/tea and biscuit.

                         THE READING CHARITY ART FAIR Friday 27th to Sunday 29th OCTOBER 2017

The Oakview Exhibition Hall at Leighton Park School, Pepper Lane Entrance, Reading, RG2 7DG.

Our main sales usually take place at the preview evening on Thursday 26 October between 7pm and 9.30pm, tickets for this are available at £10 each including a glass of wine and canapés; for tickets please contact the Secretary on 0118 969 3866 (or 07949186262), or by email at:  readingcharityartfair@gmail.com

25% of all sales are donated by the artists to the charity. In addition this year, we are planning to have a display of small paintings, donated by artists. These paintings will be displayed together; We will sell these small paintings to support the purchase of an advanced ultrasound scanner for the Royal Berkshire Hospital's Breast Screening Clinic.

Sculpture At Greys Court. June 3rd to 25th by Studio21

There are two weekends left to visit the beautiful gardens at Greys Court near Henley, to wander through the grounds and view an interesting and varied collection of figurative and non figurative sculpture placed in and around the gardens. 26 different artists, all from the Oxford Sculptors Group, one of them local to Caversham, John Nicholls. http://www.nichollssculptor.co.uk.

Last day of Open Studios at Studio 21, venue 54 in the West Berkshire and North Hampshire Open Studios 2017 catalogue. Thank you to those people who visited yesterday and made it such a worthwhile effort. If you missed the Here Here ! show in the Turbine Hall at the Riverside museum, which was beautifully curated by Ingrid Jenson, today is the last opportunity for a while, to see  Michael Norcross's paintings here at Studio 21. Also if you want to make a day of visiting Artists studios in Reading, why not visit venue 56, OpenHand OpenSpace at Brock Keep, 571 Oxford Road.

An exhibition is taking place at what's becoming an important Reading Exhibition venue, for local artists in the Turbine House, at the Riverside Museum next to the Bell and Dragon.

10 local artists are all taking part in the Open Studios scheme running across west Berkshire and North hampshire.
